Chuck Lang (Frankfurt, Germany 1985-1987)
Along with David Hatwell, Chuck and I were great friends for a few years while living overseas. Of the friends I made while living there, I think Chuck was the closest to me. Chuck is about the nicest guy I have ever met to this day, and as far as I'm concerned, he'll always be a brother to me in my heart. I was lucky enough to catch up to him while living in Maryland. Chuck had joined the military and was able to send me pictures of his new wife and family.
Highlights I remember about Chuck:
- Tons of AD&D.
- That centipede in the tree, and Chuck "hauling ass" across the field to get away from it.
- Playing D&D nearly every day.
- That cannon ball landing on his foot. And Chuck hobbling around with an entire ice tray under the bandages on his foot.
- Being in shop class together.
Knowing Chuck the way I do, I know he'll be happy and successful at whatever he chooses to do. The last I heard he had joined the Air Force. I can totally see him doing that. I wonder if he was ever stationed in Frankfurt? Chuck, write me dude. We have a lot of catching up to do.
